FASHION
Fashion has always been a part of Mariam’s life. With a family filled with fashion designers, she was able to experience and cherish all the creative work that goes into the making of a perfect look. In college, her dreams came alive when she attended a full week of SS NYFW 2013 and that’s when it all started churning.
HEALTH & FITNESS
After joining her track and field team in high school, Mariam has strived to keep a fit and balanced way of life. Because of how much your body changes throughout motherhood, Mariam researches and understands what’s necessary and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, not just for herself but for her family as well. She enjoys sharing this through creating content to showcase her passion and research to help the community achieve a better lifestyle.
FASHION SHOW
During her time at DePaul University, Mariam hosted her first two fashion show fundraisers with Alpha Kappa Psi. (See footage from her first fashion show, Fashion Acquisition.) Mariam worked with brands such as BCBG MaxAzria, Original Penguin, Banana Republic, GAP and AKIRA. Both shows were a sold out success and gratifying experience for Mariam, something she always knew she wanted to do again.
Mariam is always looking to give back to society. In 2017 and 2019, Mariam brought back the fashion show fundraisers and involved the local Chicago community through creating her own fashion show, A Blessed Wardrobe.
