90s Loungewear

The 90s is my favorite period, it may not be the most comfortable but it was definitely one of my favorite fashionable eras.

Top: I got this sweatshirt recently from the ZARA sale. I love this cloudy seamless look on sweats. It’s been the trend for 2020 and I hope it stays. If that’s sold out, here’s a similar one from ASOS or Alo Yoga.

Bottoms: I got these leggings from Calzedonia and they’re currently on sale. I love them because they’re a total throwback to the 90s footing.

Accessories: “Street Googles” sunglasses by MVMT. Use MARIAMSHIBLY15 for $ off.

The Anniversary Outfit

It’s been too long where I didn’t just get ready, but got to go all out and actually doll up. With COVID-19 and newborn, our anniversary finally happened 2 months later. It was hectic arranging the babysitting situation with lots of driving, but so worth it. We had the most bomb Japanese Omakase experience at Tanoshii. I highly recommend it and afterwards we ate the most heavy duty crepes at Iguana Cafe, an old favorite sweet spot.

Top: I got this gorgeous dress from Target! It’s super comfortable. I love the trapeze border and pleats, but most of all I love the tone. Unfortunately this dress is sold out, but here’s a gorgeous one from Asos, and another one from Nordstrom. In order to dress it up for more of a brighter seasonal look, I paired it with my favorite white oversized linen blazer. The one I purchased from Aritzia is sold out, but here’s a similar one from Asos.

Jewelry: I’m wearing my favorite 3 stone ring from Bellina Caetano. Use LADYMARIAM for $ off your order. I’m also wearing this chunky rustic gold chain from Amazon.

Shoes: Amina Muaddi

The Blue Dress

5 weeks postpartum and I’m itching to get moving again. The key to recovery is resting, which you know as moms are not our best habits. So this time around I was a lot more prepared for my recovery than I was for my first delivery. Check out how I prepped my hospital bag, which accelerated my recovery significantly!

Dress: I bought this dress from the Mango sale two summers ago. I love it because it’s loosely fitted and yet still very flattering, so perfect for postpartum. The large buttons make it very chic and cute! Here’s a similar one from Mango with cuter sleeves, I love it.

Jewelry: I’m wearing the thin herringbone necklace from one of my new favorite brands, She’s Unique. Use MARIAM20 for $ off your purchase.

Shoes: I love these Clara by Day espadrilles by Alohas. They’re so comfortable!

A Chic Fit

3 weeks postpartum fashion, where you feel like a cow, but you’re desperate to feel human again so you dress up and finally step out.

Top: I’m wearing one of my favorite print tee brands, 1434 which says Chicago in Arabic. I paired it with a new blazer I got from Aritzia. I love their blazers, because they’re so comfortable and have the perfect cuts. You can literally pair them with anything.

Skirt: I bought this khaki skirt from Mango. I love it because it has a paper bag waist, which is the perfect bottoms to rock when you can’t fit into your old clothes. Here’s a similar one from Mango on sale.

Shoes: Amina Muaddi.

Bag: Celine

The Balloon Sleeves Dress

2 weeks postpartum looks drastically different this time around. I truly have learned the importance of self care, especially during pregnancy and I’m hoping to keep it up during postpartum as well. If you’re interested to know what I did, check out my pregnancy 101 post.

Dress: I got this dress from Zara last summer and it’s elastic waistline is the reason I can wear it 2 weeks postpartum. Dresses are a postpartum mom’s best friend. The sleeves are what I love the most about this dress, they’re flattering for any body type. Here’s a similar one on Amazon that looks even more flattering.

Jewelry:
I’m wearing the thin herringbone necklace from She’s Unique, one of my favorite trendy brands. Use MARIAM20 for $ off. I’m also wearing the paper clip necklace that I got off Amazon!

Shoes: I got these decades ago by Tom’s. They’re comfortable and they’ve lasted me forever. Here’s a trendy pair in black by Tom’s or find an even more flattering espadrilles by Alohas.

Bag: I absolutely adore Bottega’s bags but they’re very trendy and at the moment I can’t afford to splurge on trendy bags. I found an awesome dupe at Shein, which does the job just as well for under $20.

The Classy Power Suit

Power suits will never go out of fashion. It is well worth your money to invest in a few and in variety of colors. This one is definitely my favorite.

Top: I’m wearing one of the best blazers I’ve invested in and it’s by Massimo Dutti. I got this last Fall. There’s not many stores in the US, but they do ship. Given it’s class, it’s so easy to pair this blazer with any top. I decided to keep it minimal and go with your classic white tee.

Bottoms: I bought these jeans almost a decade ago from J Crew. I love the color and it’s definitely an essential to have in your closet. Here’s a similar pair from Banana Republic (regular size & petite size), and they’re currently on sale. Yes I am pregnant in this, I’m rocking my belly band from Nordstrom, which works like magic and is how I’m wearing my pants.

Shoes: I’m wearing my current favorite designer heels, Amina Muaddi.

Bag: My friend, Fatima found this Bottega Veneta pouch dupe from Shein — feel free to use her promo FATIMAQIL315 for more discount.

Accessories: I’m wearing this chic and classy Infinity 32 mm watch in gold with the brown leather strap from Nordgreen. It’ll go with anything all year round and add sophistication to your fits. Use MARIAM15 for $ off your purchase. My ring stack is from Maison Miru, I’m wearing the Moon & Star ring and the Callie ring. From Able, I am wearing the Cesar ring. My chunky chain necklace is from Amazon— I love the tone of this necklace and it’s always trendy.

MANGO Sale Under $100

I love MANGO. Although it is pricier than our usual stores like Zara, the quality is significantly better and much more worth it. They’re having a bomb sale right now and I took the time to share the best finds for under $100. This isn’t your “cheap” sale, but it’s really stylish pieces and high quality for their sale prices. They’ve also got free shipping for orders $29+ which is easily doable. Enjoy!

The Green Tee & the Bump

Summer is finally here…and I hope it stays. The belly band is coming in handy now more than ever since I have zero maternity pants that I like and I can wear my regular clothes now. The bump is growing aH and I’m just barely fitting in my tees lol. Here are the details below on this look:

Top: I bought this comfy v-neck from Nordstrom. I love the olive color since it’ll work really well for all year round. This top is sold out, but they’ve got other amazing colors that work year round as well.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my belly band from Nordstrom (it’s super comfortable, easy to wear and soft fabric on my bump) with my elastic waist denim pants from Zara. They’re sold out, but here’s a similar pair.

Bag: I love this cute little handbag from Mango. It’s affordable and so chic to pair with any outfit.

Shoes: I love these Chelsea boots from Zara. I got them a while ago, but here’s a similar pair.

Jewelry: I’m wearing my delicate heart necklace (that says love in Arabic) from Zudo and you can use MARIAM15 for $ off. I’m wearing a pearl drop necklace from Safira. On my wrist, I’ve got my Cluse x Negin watch, which is currently sold out and my gold bracelet cuffs from Zudo (use MARIAM15 for $ off your purchase).

Please note that this is not a sponsored note by any of the products. I was gifted some of these products and some I have purchased. It is my honest and true opinion to put these looks together. I do receive very little commission on most of the products, but I would appreciate the extra support for providing my authentic opinion on each product, and putting in time and work to share it with you all to bring this look to you.

Winter Pink Skirt

It’s easy to rock spring colors in the winter, you just have to pair it with a darker color.

Adjustments.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing a sheer long sleeve bodysuit from Forever 21 and my favorite leather jacket from Zara. It’s no longer in stock, so here’s another cute leather jacket from Zara.

Bottoms: I’m wearing a satin pink pleated skirt by Niswa Fashion. They ran out of pink, but have nude available on Niswa Fashion or a similar skirt from Asos.

Shoes: I’m wearing my leather black boots that I got from Zara in Spain.

Bag: I got this cute little bag from Mango.

The Sporty Casual

I love it when I can dress so comfortable and yet still look trendy. Here’s an easy fit:

IMG_7858.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing an oversized boyfriend blazer from Aritzia. It’s currently not available but I found an alternative from the same brand and it’s very similar. I’m wearing it over an Adidas sleeveless tank currently available on Amazon.

Bottoms: I’m wearing distressed high waisted black denim by Zara. It’s not in stock, but here’s a pair from Zara that I love and you can easily wear it with.

Shoes: I’m wearing my slip-on white Converses. Perfect for casual looks.

Bag: Celine

Organza Red Dress

The art of layering is one of my favorite things to learn and implement. It’s an efficient and timeless method for your wardrobe.

Organza Cover Dress: I purchased this cover dress on sale from Urban Outfitters. It’s a great way to add sleeves to any of your strap or sleeveless dresses. Not to mention, any color can go underneath it. I’d stick with red or neutrals to keep it a clean look.

Silk Slip Dress: I love slip dresses because they are so flattering and comfortable to wear. My husband says alone it looks like a “nightie”, but it’s so versatile and can be worn in so many ways. It’s a graceful look. I purchased this one from Aritzia, it’s sold out, but they tend to have other options from time to time. Here’s another option at Revolve.

Shoes: These are my favorite heels by Gianvito Rossi. The slip-ons are sold out, but here’s the alternative option by Gianvito Rossi.

Cozy Loungewear

Hi loves! I’ve been on the hunt for cute, comfortable and warm lounge wear. With our winters getting colder, it only makes sense to invest in some quality lounge wear and still look good!

I’ve linked everything I’ve tried on in my haul below. I’ve ranked it in order starting with what I love first. Tag me when you guys put them on so we can be twinning!

These are the MOST comfortable out of my picks. They’re snug enough for the cozy season, keeping you warm and comfortable. They’re really cute loungewear and great for running errands in cold weather.

gottex.jpg

These are an identical replica to the Zella soft joggers and they’re half the price. The material is unbelievably soft. These loungepants are great for both Spring and Fall. They aren’t the warmest, but they’re the softest pants out of the bunch.

socks.jpg

In the winter, I’m obsessed with wearing comfortable socks at home. I finally found the perfect pair to wear at home AND be able to wear with my boots. The best part of these is that they never slip off and they’re SO comfortable. They’re not super loose or super fitted, but just right.

target.PNG

I love how soft this cropped hoodie is! It’s perfect to wear over anything including workout gear, casual wear or running errands. This pullover hoodie keeps me so snug and warm. I love it and all their colors are on point for this cozy season.

mango.PNG

This is my favorite jogger set to travel in. Not only is it really comfortable and made of wool to keep me warm, but it’s durable and looks great without looking like too much of a bum. This is definitely my favorite set! Please note you need to buy the pants and top separately.

6. Target Sherpa Fleece Jacket by Champion

Champion has rebranded their products and I’m loving their new line. This Sherpa jacket is the perfect balance of a fitted zip-up and the softest fabric. This teddy-bear like fabric seriously keeps you so warm. I love wearing it alone in 40-60s degree weather, after a workout or even for layering on a hike!

7618433.jpg

This is the exact same brand as the one Nordstrom sells just in a lighter color and significantly cheaper! It’s made of soft sweatpant like material with a light fleece lining. I love it for dressing comfortably outside such as running errands or after a workout. It’s chic and cozy!

526f2562-a803-4831-959b-bcb96926e76d.jpeg

These are the comfiest skinny sweatpants to look cute with your friends whether it’s lounging at their place or just being cozy outside. They’re fitted, yet not too tight where it’s uncomfortable like leggings. I love how sleek these sweatpants are.

11249806.jpg

Ok this is the perfect pull-over hoodie for after a workout in the colder seasons. It’s made of dry-fit material and very breathable. It keeps you warm and moving because of it’s looser fit on the sleeves. I love wearing it post-workout or if I’m just trying to cozy around the house.

11380417.jpg

These are your slightly more fitted than traditional sweatpants by Adidas. They're great for bumming at home or doing work around the house. They’re loose throughout, without making you look too baggy or bummed out. They’ve got a foldover tie waistband, which is different. I like them for being the closest to traditional sweatpants.

8983262.jpg

This is a fitted and super snug pullover, perfect to wear before or after working out. It’s cute enough to rock for casual wear as well. It’s made of comfortable material, yet remains structured. I love how flattering it looks on high-waisted pants or leggings. The Nordstrom Rack version sold out, so I linked the original Alo Yoga.

8892986.jpg

This hoodie takes me back to the fitted, but fur lined hoodies made by Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle. You can expect to wear this alone because of how warm it is. It’s also very fitted so it gives you more of a slimming look without feeling insecure about your front.

10543738.jpg

I love a nice tank when I’m about to do cardio indoors or when it’s warmer weather. I love that it’s light and breathable material and isn’t extra revealing. The neck is also flattering and I’m all for cute gym gear.

14. Nordstrom Soft Joggers by Zella

These are very similar to the joggers by Gloxy (linked as #2 when you scroll up). They’re super soft material with just a little bit of different coloring. Once again, they’re perfect for Spring or Fall because they’re very easy to wear, look great, and aren’t too warm to step out in.

7964f7f4-46d1-4e9e-8e49-9c8f802f44d0.jpeg

This is very similar to the wrap sweatshirt (linked as #6 when you scroll up) it’s just a darker color and slightly thicker material. I love how flattering it looks buttoned or unbuttoned. It’s perfect to wear for being comfortable outside or when you’re about to go for a workout.

90s Flares

If you ask me which decade I could go back to it would either be the 90s because it was so much fun and so relaxed OR the 20s just for the fashion. If I can dress to reflect those decades I will. I appreciate the fact that 2019 is more acceptable of trends throughout the years. Social media has made that transition a lot easier because it just proves to show everyone has different style, and it’s not about conforming, it’s about being you.

public.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing this cute baby blue sweater cardigan that I got from Urban Outfitters this past spring. It’s a super comfortable knit sweater and the color makes everything super cute. Since the cardigan was a bit long, I decided to go ahead and tie a knot to add a little bit of a retro look. It worked perfectly!

Bottoms: I’m wearing high-waisted flare jeans from Express. They’re super comfortable, made with stretch material and extremely flattering. I miss flare jeans, these were the total 90s look. It’s very easy to pair these bottoms with anything specially crop tops!

Shoes: Wearing one of my favorite pairs ever, the plexi slip-on heels by Gianvito Rossi.
