A Yellow Eid

One of my favorite holidays is Eid Al-Fitr. It’s like a festive version of Christmas, except that it can fall anytime of the year based on the lunar and Islamic calendar. We feast for 3 days and it’s amazing. Although because of our rigorous work schedules, most Muslims celebrate the first day. We pray and we eat amazing food after a whole month of fasting from dawn to sunset everyday. And yes, we did it without water. You’d be surprised at what you can accomplish.

Outfit: I got this super breezy and bright yellow Pakistani outfit from a store in Dolmen Mall, Pakistan called Daman. They’ve got the best casual chic outfits and in the most breathabel fabrics as well. It’s a trait you value when your holidays are in the dead of summer. What color is perfect for summer? Always yellow. You can never go wrong with it.

The Yellow Palazzo Pants

I’m grateful to be a part of an exotic and distinguished culture because of the diversity it brings into my life, its values as well as the clothing you can easily mix into your Westernized wardrobe! I’m not saying any other culture is worse or better, but the fact that you have a whole different lifestyle that you can look to whether it’s for fashion, traditions or values, it’s helpful in providing a more meaningful life.

Top: I purchased this navy off the shoulder top from H&M a while ago. I am obsessed with off the shoulder tops because of how it exposes your decollete, which automatically adds a little delicacy to your looks! So if I ever need a little bit of extra “class” I like to throw on an off the shoulder top.

Bottoms: I’ve been waiting to wear these amazing light weight and yellow palazzo pants all summer. These pants are from Generation in Pakistan. They have the perfect material and they look great. Granted they’re comfortable as well, but honestly I wish I had a pair of these in every color especially because of the heat wave we’ve been experiencing this summer.

The Summer Maroon - Lena Boutique Sponsored

I love working with awesome designers that bring a diverse group of women together. Instead of creating competition, they are empowering one another. We need more of this, especially in today’s world of social media and cut throat competition.

20190420-DSC_4250.jpg

Outfit: This gorgeous two piece outfit by Lena Boutique is so elegant and trendy for the summer. The crop top is super comfortable and delicately adorned with handwork to be the perfect piece for high waisted bottoms such as these gharara pants. I love these trousers, not only do they bring elegance to the whole look, but they’re so light and comfortable. They’re very easy to wear and I can imagine mixing it with other pieces as well. Be sure to mention MARIAM for 10% off the Mughal-inspired, Muse Collection.

The Perfect Summer White

I love the start of warm weather because that’s a sign that you’ll be celebrating all sorts of occasions with your loved ones. It’s also a sign that you need to stock up on summer dresses because you’ll probably be attending events left and right. My favorite stores to hit up are Urban Outfitters, Zara and Aritzia. They nail the cuts almost every time.

IMG_0824.JPG

Dress: I bought this white puff sleeve dress from Urban Outfitters earlier this spring on sale. I was actually surprised to see it on sale because this is the trending dress all summer. I love puff sleeves and the cute scoop neck. The buttons make it so fun to wear and bonus feature, very interchange-able. I’m excited to show you how many different ways I can wear this dress!

Shoes: These have been my go-to sandals from Target all summer. They’re comfortable, cute and perfect for casual and chic looks!

Bag: I was gifted by a relative this cute beige bucket bag from Sapphire almost two summers ago. I love the color, it goes with everything so well!

The Maria B. Trousers

If there’s anything I love, it’s unique pieces of clothing that you can mix and match. With western clothing at our fingertips, it makes so easy to create a fusion with your Pakistani or Indian clothes!

public.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing a ribbed crop top from Zara. It’s fitted and perfect to wear with high waisted bottoms. I could’ve worn a white version of the light blue top, but I figured the more color the better. When it comes to black and white, very rarely do I never add a pop of color only because alone it reminds me of an industry uniform.

Bottoms: I’m wearing these wide legged embroidered pants by Maria B. They originally came with my tulle pink off the shoulder top, but because I loved the elegant work so much I wore them with a short top to show off the work.

Shoes: I’m wearing my new favorite black heels by Valentino.

The Summer Denim

It’s hard enough wearing jeans in the summer, you’ll find me in dresses, thin pants and skirts. Although it is difficult to avoid wearing denim the whole season, so I do like to wear my most breezy denim with a pop of yellow for the summer.

public.jpeg

Top: I bought this mustard yellow crop top from Zara this past spring. I love mustard yellow and truly brings the perfect “yellow” pop for olive skin tones. Regardless of what color you pair this with; it’ll always look good.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my low rise ripped Zara jeans. These jeans fit like a glove and they’re great to wear in the summer. A disadvantage is that they don’t hide your muffin top or mom’s belly, but as long as you wear it with a looser top they look great!

Shoes: I recently bought these plexi block heels from Zara. The brown suede is perfect for any casual occasion and the block heels are what you need to wear for any lawn parties, they’ll never sink in!

The Spring Colorblocking

Colorblocking is a trend that goes in and out of fashion every few years. The key to colorblocking is using vibrant colors of the same tones. You can mix and match colors as long as they follow the same vibrancy. Yellow, blues and greens are often paired together while red, fuschia, oranges are usually together. Whenever colorblocking is trending, grab those colors from your closet and have fun with it!

public.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing a fuchsia sleeveless tank from Zara. I paired with my denim Seek Refuge jacket to make it more of a casual look. Together this combo is perfect for chilly or spring weather. I love these colors as well, they look amazing on olive skin tones and bring out our “glow”.

Bottoms: I’m wearing these rustic orange trousers from Zara. They’re very comfortable and the perfect shade for fall and spring!

Shoes: I’m wearing my newest addition of black heels by Valentino. Classy and edgy is exactly how I love my black heels.

Purse: I’m wearing my first and ultimate favorite handbag investment, Chanel handbag with the single flap and made out of caviar leather.

The Classy Mughal Blue - Lena Boutique Sponsored

My favorite era of all time in South Asian history is the Mughal empire. There was endless amount of class and power in both men and women. The women would be adorned in gorgeous jewels and elaborate dresses. They were respected and often placed in positions of power. I’d have to give it to the men as well, they dressed tastefully and were constantly groomed. It was a modern empire with practical and modern rules based off agricultural taxes. If I could choose when I’d like to live in history, this would be it.

public.jpeg

Dress: My all-time favorite dress of the Muse Collection by Lena Boutique. This collection was inspired by my favorite era, the Mughal Empire! I love the elegant neck showcasing our delicate features and aligned with mughal inspired handwork. This dress falls gracefully on anyone who wears it. I love the bottom beige frill as well, it adds a bit of a modern and trendy look to the whole piece. I love this dress. If I could wear it everyday, I would. Be sure to mention MARIAM for 10% off the Muse Collection.

The Classy "Wife"

There’s a certain way you begin to dress once you reach certain milestones, such as when you’re in high school, in college, a young professional, a wife, a mother and then a grandmother. This look I’ve created below is my ideal “wife” look. A classy and well put together woman who’s not only in charge of her house, but her family and her career.

public.jpeg

Dress: I bought this flattering striped dress by DVF from Nordstrom. What I love about DVF’s pieces are that all her prints are extremely flattering. If you notice as you get closer to my hips, where you could easily have a ‘muffin top’ it’s completely hidden by the pattern changing. These are the kind of prints you should look for when purchasing a piece, especially if it’s fitted. Not only is this dress flattering, it’s comfortable and light. Perfect to wear in the spring or the fall.

Bottoms: I paired it with these comfortable and form fitting leggings by Calzedonia. I really do love their leggings, they’re better quality than Nordstrom and their prints are really fun to pair your dresses and skirts with.

Shoes: I’m wearing the pointy toed suede lace-up heels from Aquazurra.

The Summer Chic

There’s certain outfits that make me feel amazing and this is definitely one of them, especially when I’m in great shape. It’s important to dress in a way that empowers you, so that you have all the confidence in the world by your side. Go get ‘em.

public.jpeg

Top: I’m wearing a white tank top bodysuit from Amazon and paired it with my denim jacket from Seek Refuge. In chilly weather, this denim packet does a great job of keeping you warm with it’s heavy and authentic denim material. I recommend investing in one because everyone can easily rock a denim jacket and should be a staple in your closet. What I love about this jacket is on the back is a beautiful Arabic scripture and the proceeds of this brand are donated to aiding refugees.

Bottoms: I bought these pleated beige trousers from Zara a while ago. They’re extremely comfortable and easy to wear. Because of the color and casual fit, they can be paired with anything. To keep it a clean simple look, I chose to stick with the neutrals color palette.

Shoes: I’m wearing one of my favorite pairs by Gianvito Rossi.

The Traditional Bride - PF Lounge Sponsored

I always imagined my wedding day to be in red. I even found the perfect shade of red for my wedding gown back when I was in high school. I just couldn’t see otherwise. When I got married in 2014-2015, the styles were changing and the modern bride was on the rise. I loved it. I’ve always been more modern than traditional, so my red went out of the window and I opted for a my beautiful golden lavender dress. I’m glad I finally got to experience being a traditional bride through PF Lounge and Make Up by Henna.

Dress: The gorgeous traditional red gown is by PF Lounge. It’s beautifully elegant. It truly makes the traditional look absolutely timeless. Surprisingly, it’s easier to maneuver around in this dress so it’ll be perfect for social brides. The stitching and work is high quality as I had to take it on and off a few times and I didn’t hear a single bead drop! I loved this dress and the color is perfect for our skin tone.

Jewelry: PF Lounge has a stunning jewelry collection to match any of your dresses. I love pearls on heavy jewelry and had peaked on my own wedding jewelry. The essence of pearls bring out the regal look best.

Makeup & Hair: Heena is extremely talented. It took her no time to do my hair and makeup. First off, she did everything absolutely flawlessly! It was so neat. Every hair was perfectly in line. My face was always a clean palette coming together to create this dramatic traditional look. I was very impressed. Take advantage of booking her now before she gets to the big dogs!

Henna: Heena is so talented she actually does henna as well and so quickly! We decided to go with the elegant Kashees inspired Henna.

Classy Beach

There’s something about the beach that instantaneously brings me peace. Watching the waves and feeling the hot sand on your toes is so peaceful. I honestly wish I could live somewhere near by the beach so I could have this daily pleasure. I’ve always been drawn to water activities thanks to my grandfather who’s a big time swimmer in Pakistan. He made sure we learned swimming as soon as possible, even if that meant swimming in Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, he’s been diagnosed with cancer and it breaks my heart. Every time I swim, I think of him.

IMG_6740.JPG

Dress: I’m wearing this midi dress by Forever21. I bought it a while ago, it’s extremely form fitting so I recommend wearing this when you’re comfortable in your skin. It’s really cute to layer with a few things, but wearing it alone is perfect for a hot summer day especially on the beach. To dress it up, I added a little silk scarf tie. I could pass for a flight attendant, but the look I’m going for is the chic and classy.

IMG_6436.JPG

The Tropical Tourist Life

I can thank my itch to travel to my mother who has a much more severe case of wanderlust. Without companion pass, travel wouldn’t be so easily accessible especially with a toddler and a ton of baggage. I highly recommend looking into all your avenues where you can maximize travel, and it’s possible you just have to figure out which way works best for you! I can’t emphasize how educational traveling is for you, your husband and your little ones. I love learning about the locals, the food scene, what everyone’s daily lives are like in this completely different climate. It makes you realize how small you are and also how many different ways of achieving the same goals. I wish everyone cough Trump was this open to other cultures. On that note, I never really realized how diverse Miami is and I love it! People barely speak English, I love it.

IMG_6057.JPG

Top: I just bought this top on my friend’s bachelorette trip in LA a few months ago. It was a random little store on Venice Beach having a huge sale. I love off the shoulder tops, they really bring out a women delicately. The back of this shirt is even cuter, it’s a bit backless, but you can cover it up by tying it really cute with the waist ties it comes with. I also love the color, it’s perfect for any season!

Jeans: I’m wearing my favorite high waisted distressed jeans from Forever21. In order to complete the typical safari-tourist look, you need to have your favorite jeans on.

Shoes: I love wearing white shoes, but nobody beats the typical white like how Converse does it.

Accessories: The last piece to this safari outfit, is of course the hat. I tend to rock hats in warmer weather anyway because I’m concerned about sun damage and tans. You can look cute while taking care of your skin so why not!

The Comfy Pink

As our kids grow older, I find it sometimes easier in certain ways and difficult in others to get ready. How does a mom look flawless? Beats me but I believe in the beauty of it. There’s nothing more than I love than a cute casual and COMFORTABLE look. There’s never enough of them.

IMG_6735.JPG

Top: I’m wearing a blush pink long sleeve shirt from Zara. I love the ribbed silk fabric, it’s super comfortable and easily worn in chilly weather. If you can’t tell already, I’m obsessed with blush pink. It’s a crucial color to invest in that will always look timeless in your closet. I got my blush pink cardigan from Urban Outfitters. It’s a bit of the casual and chic leisure look, as well as it’s very cozy to wear. I wanted to emphasize the blush pink in this outfit so I paired the two together.

Bottoms: If you’re wearing a fitted shirt and feeling a little insecure about your belly, I recommend covering it up with some high waisted jeans from Forever21. I love it when denim comes with unique touches such as buttons for the fly rather than a zipper, which makes the look more chic.

Shoes: I recently purchased these adorable pink Vans! I’ve always had to tread carefully with vans, only because I felt that their mainstream style didn’t align with my fit until they came out with this color. It’s so cute and their shoes are comfortable so I’m glad I finally found a pair I like.

The Olive Shades

Chicago has been a serious disappointment these days. We’re a few weeks into May and still experiencing winter-esque temperatures. On top of it, we all know how moody Chicagoans are and how much the weather affects us. After a gruesome winter, with lots of summer teases you can imagine how unhappy the bunch is. I already saw how catty the crowd was becoming last weekend and let me tell you, I’m not a fan.

IMG_5136.JPG

Top: I bought this suede jacket from Zara two summers ago. I actually purchased it in Paris on our trip, and I definitely feel like the overseas Zaras have a much better selection! I love this olive color, it looks great for our skin tone and is the perfect color to pair with neutrals. With Chicago’s chilly spring, I’m still rocking turtlenecks so I decided to layer up as much as I can to stay warm.

Bottoms: These are one of my favorite high waisted distressed jeans from Forever21. I enjoy the style and the comfort, however I wish the structure of Forever 21’s denim was more rigid.

Jewelry: I’ve layered my Zudo Allah gold medallion necklace with the 4 Quls pendant. They’re a beautiful combo and together they make an elegant statement piece. Use MARIAM15 for $ off your Zudo purchase. A portion of their proceeds are donated to sexual violence victims and survivors.

The Daytime Formal

I spent my birthday week driving to Tennessee to spend a few days celebrating my brother’s white coat ceremony with my family. I've been constantly working in a finance world so the medical industry is almost foreign to me. Although majority of my family comes from the medical field, we keep our two worlds separate. They don’t understand finance and I don’t understand medical lingo. Slowly through my brother reaching his milestones, I’m getting the hang of the exact process that doctors have to go through. I also see how much studying they have to do to the point that most of it is done in isolation for months at a time. It’s a tough world out there, no job is easy—everyone sacrifices one thing or another to get the job done and God-willing it all pays off. I’m proud of everyone who has put the sweat and soul in to reach their goals!

IMG_6190.JPG

Top: I purchased this white button-down from Forever21 almost a decade ago. I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it stain-free, but I can tell you I was very careful with this top. It’s one of my favorite white tops to wear because the material is so light, the cut is flattering and it’s surprisingly low maintenance. It can be worn with practically anything, I paired it with some regular denim and my outfit looks outstanding. These are the kind of tops you want to take care of and continue buying.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my favorite jeans by Zara. They’re mid-rise jeans, but the skinny fit is to live for. I bought them over five years ago. I’m a huge fan of them because of the color, the skinny fit, the perfect length and the little edge with the ripped knees. You’ll see me wear these jeans quite often. They were a great find.

Shoes: I recently bought these yellow heels with transparent chunks from Zara. These days I’m always looking for new ways to add pops of color and this is definitely one of my favorite ways. The heel is comfortable surprisingly, because the heel height is pretty tall. The chunks make it easy to walk in and they look good for any summer or spring fit!

IMG_6194.JPG

Boss Lady’s Fit

I’m a fiction reader, but lately for light reads I’ve been testing out non-fiction and I’m loving it. I picked up The Becoming by Michelle Obama, which is highly inspirational. The fact that the former First Lady’s story could be so relatable, was a pleasant surprise. She has the concerns as any average woman would and how she perseveres through the political rollercoaster shows that we all have our own struggles to fight. We just have to fight them. If you’re looking for a good read, I recommend this book!

IMG_3118.JPG

Dress: I bought this dress from Forever 21 a couple years ago. Yes it is one piece, which is so easy to wear. Usually with skirts, I find myself constantly adjusting my top and tucking it in. This one piece dress saves the hassle. If I could find more pieces like this, it would be such a game changer especially for my corporate ladies.

Shoes: I’m wearing my pointy toed suede boots from BCBG. They’re comfortable and very easy to walk in. The best part is they look great with warm looks so I rock them all the time in the winter.

Bag: To top off any formal look, the classic Chanel bag is my go-to.

IMG_3120.JPG

All Black Leather

Nothing excites me more than when an old friend is in town. I met most of my best friends in college and it’s been almost 7 years since we’ve graduated. A lot happens over time, but luckily the friendships stuck through it all. I’m married and I moved to the suburbs. Most of my friends are still working and have in fact moved to other cities and countries because of their jobs and of course through marriage. So to be able to reunite and hang out like good times means a lot to me.

IMG_2736.JPG

Top: I love layering! So I’m wearing 3 tops here. The first layer is a button down beige top from Forever21, followed by a black ribbed turtleneck and a leather jacket by Zara. Layering is your go-to for looking cute in chilly weather. Putting black on top with a pop of any color underneath will guaranteed be a cute look. Try to keep the colors on the same tones of a color palette, since black is a strong contrasting color.

Bottoms: I wore my high waisted faux leather leggings I purchased from Amazon. I have to say over time, I’ve realized I’m pretty impressed with the quality. There are yet to be tears or wrinkles in these leggings and I wash them pretty often. Anytime you want to create a more edgier look, bust out your leather bottoms!

Shoes: I’m wearing my black combat boots from Aldo. In my eyes these are the shoes to feel and look like a “bad ass”. They’re comfortable to walk in and if you ever need to march up to someone, these shoes are most suitable for the occasion.

The Fashion Judge

When MIST reached out to me asking if I’d like to judge their Fashion Arts competition, I was absolutely delighted. How much fun would it be to see the youth’s work and their vision in my favorite field. I myself have personally never participated in MIST because it started way after I was done with high school. My brother always spoke highly of the youth conference so I was excited to check it out. I have to say right off the bat, I was impressed with the organization of the event. They were run by college volunteers whom were highly communicative and provided all the documentation necessary. Let’s be honest, for our culture and age that’s a mission to do so to see the youth accomplish this so flawlessly—I was in love. Judging the Fashion Arts competition allowed me to see how much talent we have in our youth. I was blown away by these young shy girls with such bold and unique designs. I am excited for what the future has in store for them.

IMG_6351.JPG

Top: I love this puff sleeve cropped top that I purchased from Zara two summers ago. If you can find the neatest cuts and sleeves, my go-to color to buy it in is white. White is easily paired with so many outfits, you can re-wear the top as much a you like. With wearing white, we do bear one struggle—keeping it stain free. I like to stay conscience of that and steer clear of food and babies.

Bottoms: I purchased these ice blue pleats from The Boutique Liverpool. I love this color because it can be easily worn all year round. Granted it’ll be a little cold to wear these pants in the winter, I still wore them anyway. They’re super chic and look amazing with heels on. I purchased these pleats in a solid green and brown as well. They come quite long, so I’ve had to hem my pants, but still worth the buy since they’re so reasonably priced.

Shoes: I’m wearing my favorite pointy heels ever by Gianvito Rossi.

Super Casual Fit

I love the days I can be super casual, which if I’m going out for an occasion can very much be rare. I’ve been taking opportunity of each occasion to dress out of the ordinary, but I truly appreciate when I can keep things very simple and comfortable. It just allows you to be naturally at peace and not have to worry about your outfit getting ruined.

IMG_5968.JPG

Top: I got this comfortable black sweater from Aritzia last summer. What I love about this asides from the fact that it’s super comfortable and easy to wear, is that it’s cropped and has wide sleeves. This creates the most flattering silhouette and looks amazing with any pants that hug your waist.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my favorite mid-rise jeans from Zara. The denim is comfortable and stretches to be your perfect fit. Because their mid-rise, I don’t wear them often, but if you can find a top that doesn’t hug your love handles you can easily pair these jeans with it.

Shoes: I recently purchased these brown Nikes from Nordstrom. What drew me to them were the laces, they really added an edge along with the versatile color. They’re the most comfortable Nikes I’ve bought yet, and super easy to add to any trendy or chic outfit.

Shoulder bag: I purchased this fanny pack fairly recently from ASOS. This is the most easiest bag to wear out of all my bags and provides you with the ultimate convenience, to be hands-free. It’s such an awesome bag to have apart of your collection, especially if you’re on the go or for travel wear. It’s chic and cute to add to any trendy or casual outfit.

The Baby Pink

The decor for personal events such as baby and bridal showers have significantly improved from when I was hosting them for my friends and my own showers. I love it, but simultaneously the bar has been raised. We used to be able to get away with cute little candles and honey jars as giveaways and prizes, and now the prize tables are filled with Sephora items and dessert usually consists of two tables lavishly filled. It just makes me wonder what the events will be like during our children’s generation. Hopefully we’ll be there to witness it, because the food is definitely getting better and better :)

IMG_3545.JPG

Top: I bought this off white turtleneck from Zara a couple years ago. I love how fitted this turtleneck is and at the same time it stays flattering. The ribbed look makes it very easy to dress it up or down.

Bottoms: I snagged these blush pink pants from Zara about a year ago. They were on sale too. Anytime you see a pair of nice straight pants in a different color, buy them. They’re so versatile and it’s a timeless piece.

Purse: I brought out my nude pink Prada handbag. I don’t bring her out too often only because I have to get her repaired a little. This purse has been through the corporate life and has been worn down from the hustle and bustle. I love the tone of the pink, it can literally be worn with any outfit and instantly brings out more class in each look.

IMG_3544.JPG

The Shirt Dress

I attended the cutest DVF Fashion Show last night at Neiman Marcus. It was hosted by my favorite Michelle Alegria and Valerie Mar. They enlightened us by speaking about body confidence and their experiences in general. The best part is, I didn’t realize how much we all could relate to the same insecurities especially after becoming a mother. It was such a heartfelt discussion and the show was amazing. The stylist really put together some stellar pieces of DVF and now my eye is on this specific trench coat!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I love layering and it’s even more fun to do it with chic pops of color! The fuschia “vest” is actually a sleeveless tank that I purchased from Zara sale over the summer. I decided to add that as a pop to my plain white dress shirt that I designed myself at The Garment Creative. This shirt dress is so versatile, I’ve already worn it here and I’m excited to show you guys more ways of wearing it.

Bottoms: Nothing more fun to add then a pair of chic tights from Calzedonia. Although you can’t see the back seam, it’s a cute addition to add without it being too much going on. I highly recommend purchasing your tights from them. I't’s premium quality and so affordable pricing.

Shoes: I love these colorful cork heels by Aquazzura. They always add so much fun and spunk to your outfit. Find yourself a unique pair of multi-colored shoes to add onto your outfits for a little funk.

The Powerhouse

I am so happy to be living in a time where women are lifting each other up and standing up for themselves. I can’t imagine if I was born in a different era and I had to live through all the excessive and unnecessary suffering. I have the utmost respect for the women who still put a smile on their faces regardless of their struggles—they are the true heroes for enduring such pain, especially back then. Last week I attended an enlightening event by the Fox32 News reporter, Michelle Alegria. I met her over the summer and so glad we stayed in touch because she is such an admirable woman. She hosted an event at Maria Pinto’s boutique, which featured Maria Pinto’s latest collection as well as bringing together powerful women to speak on women empowerment. You could say I basically lived for this event as I attended it solo and left with a few new friends! I’m excited for these friendships to flourish as well as to see what results we can achieve together. Here’s to uniting powerful women.

IMG_4694.JPG

Top: I purchased this mustard yellow v-neck from Zara last summer. It’s a cropped sleeve-less tank that is the perfect to pop of color to add all year long. Since we’re approaching spring, I figured now would be the best time to let the colors peek. I finally got to wear my Aritzia oversized blazer, which I love. This piece gives me a sense of power and automatically converts me into boss babe mode. It’s crucial to have pieces in your closet that you feel comfortable and uplifted in so that you can go out there and kick some serious butt.

Bottoms: I purchased this maroon high-waisted pencil skirt from Zara years ago. It’s the cutest skirt perfect for the corporate world and trendy occasions. The fact that it’s high-waisted means it is highly flattering and can be paired with anything! The color is perfect year round as well. Make it a winter look by pairing it with darker colors or create a springy look as I did by adding brighter colors.

Tights: I love these small polka dot tights from Calzedonia. The quality is worth investing in and they’re made in Italy. They’re highly durable and I have yet to make a tear, which I’m so grateful for. Tights aren’t easy to maintain, yet this brand makes it low maintenance.

Cobalt Blue and Hot Pink - Alishba’s Style Sponored

In the last decade or so, Pakistani fashion has been trending through different fashion fads, and you knew when it was a fad. Unlike then past, Pakistani fashion is now inclusive of every trend. You can get away with wearing short tops, long gowns, Pashtun fashion or fishtail cuts at any point. I love this because your closet will always be considered trendy! Hold on to the quality pieces that can endure time and usage because they’ll be trending for a while.

Outfit: The beautiful cobalt blue and hot pink combo is by Alishba’s Style. I have to talk about the pink gharara pants first. The fabric is so soft and pleated beautifully. The stitching is of high quality and everything is so easy to put on. I love the premium fabric and stitching that Alishba’s Style is known for. Okay back to the gorgeous blue top, the high end handcrafted work is beautiful and makes this outfit perfect for formal occasions such as weddings, aqeeqas and more. Furthermore, I love the way her outfits sit on each individual. It’s very flattering and suits all body types!
