Comfy & Trendy Winter Outfits

Hi guys! Here’s a reel for cute and trendy outfits this chilly season. It’s my favorite time of the year for fashion and I’m all about dressing comfortable, yet still cute. Below I’ll be linking everything that’s still available, most pieces are from prior years. It’s all about buying the versatile pieces you will wear often:

It’s very cozy and easy to style with a necklace or just a tank or layer it with a turtleneck as I styled it in the reel. I purchased it in beige, they currently have it in black or you can try a similar sweater.

These faux leather leggings are an easy way to dress up and stay cozy. The material is this soft and padded texture, which actually repelled some food stains! I wouldn’t depend on it though, but I love how versatile it is.

No longer available online pieces:

  • Mom/baggy jeans: Get yourself high waisted mom jeans, I purchased these from Zara early 2020. If you’re not into the retro baggy then go for the more tapered straight fit, which is a nice balance of the two and an easy way to recreate the 90s look.

  • Light green turtleneck: I got this from Topshop in 2020, what makes this turtleneck sweater so versatile is that it’s a looser comfortable fit, any color can be easily styled with denim or trousers.

  • Olive green statement sweater: I purchased these from Zara in 2019. For any versatile look, it doesn’t have to be a unique sweater, but any cropped sweater will go super cute with these comfy faux leather leggings lined with fleece as linked above.

I was gifted this sweater by IKRUSH, use MARIAM10 for $ off. I honestly can’t stop wearing it. You can dress it up with jewelry and a headband to look cute or just be cozy with leggings. It’s so warm and the comfiest fit.

Transitional Fall Pieces

It’s almost that time of the year, where we’re in denial that summer is coming to an end, but we don’t want to miss out on fall fashion.

I’ve collaborated with IKRUSH to bring you the transitional pieces I just got for myself. They’re so cute, comfortable and the quality of the fabric is impressive. Let’s break it down:

Here’s your statement fall piece that’s not only transitional, but also timeless. You can wear this every season, excluding summer. I plan on wearing this with tights and chunky leather boots for an edgy and trendy look. We can take it a step further and pair it with a pair of nice black trouser pants, for a modest and chic fit. Use MARIAM10 for $ off your dress.

This is low key my favorite pick because I know I’ll be wearing this nonstop in the chillier seasons. The fabric is extremely comfortable and more stretchy. It’s oversized look and fit is flattering for all body types. For a casual look, I imagine wearing this with leggings or lounge wear. Use MARIAM10 for $ off knitwear.

This is a statement piece because of the puff sleeves. I love puff sleeves, they’re timeless and will always bring a chic look to your fit. It’s made with a foam like material, so no need to worry about ironing, it’ll hold its structure really well. Because this is a jacket, you can style it many ways. Wear it alone and zip it up with black bottoms or skirts for a formal look, wear it with jeans for a casual look, or trouser bottoms for a trendier look. I can’t wait to style this in multiple ways, so stay tuned. Use MARIAM10 for $ off jackets.

90s Comeback - Streetwear

Thankful that we’re appreciating baggy jeans and middle parts. The key to trends is adding your own twist on it to make it work for you. For the middle part trend, I like curl my side bangs outwards so it frames my face better. The Dyson Airwrap volume also helps a lot.

Top: I actually bought this sweatshirt on my Spain trip in Seville. It’s a really cute print to rock. Here’s a similar sweatshirt one I found online. You can rock any cute print to be honest for this look. I just got this Mango camel peacoat on sale. I’ve been hunting for one all season but didn’t bother purchasing since we weren’t really going anywhere. Spring is the best time to jump on fall clothing sales because this will definitely be worn again in the chilly seasons! Here’s a similar peacoat.

Bottoms: I also got these high-waisted baggy jeans from my Spain trip in Barcelona. They’re from ZARA! That’s where they’re headquartered so you bet we made a huge shopping trip there. Luckily baggy jeans are still in style and I love them. Here’s a similar pair to invest in.

Shoes: Who knew I’d be hunting down a pair of Filas in the future. These were sold out at Nordstrom, but I was able to find them here. I recommend sizing half size or one size up. They’re the perfect mom shoes, so comfortable, and adds spunk to your sneakers look.

Bag: I just got the new color by Jacquesmus and this size does fit my iPhone 12 Pro. It’s too cute to resist.

90s Loungewear

The 90s is my favorite period, it may not be the most comfortable but it was definitely one of my favorite fashionable eras.

Top: I got this sweatshirt recently from the ZARA sale. I love this cloudy seamless look on sweats. It’s been the trend for 2020 and I hope it stays. If that’s sold out, here’s a similar one from ASOS or Alo Yoga.

Bottoms: I got these leggings from Calzedonia and they’re currently on sale. I love them because they’re a total throwback to the 90s footing.

The Dior Coat

I truly fall head over heels for a brand when the couture ends up being just as gorgeous if not more gorgeous than the shoes and the bag. It rarely happens, but it does and so that basically sums up why I am obsessed with Dior.

Top: I’m wearing a white button down collar shirt from Ann Taylor to give it complete the gorgeous Dior look. I’m renting this bomb wool coat by Dior from Wear Wardrobe. Use MEFI for $25 off your first rental. I honestly wish I owned it, that’s how hard I fell for it, but maybe one day. For now, wearing it for an occasion is plenty. These days we rock outfits once anyway, so why splurge for a look you don’t get to wear often.

Bottoms: Pairing it with these tights from Calzedonia is my favorite look. It looks very trendy with faux leather pants from Express as well.

Bag: Hermès duffle bag from Wear Wardrobe. Use MEFI for $25 off your first rental.

The Chic Casual on Faux Leather

I love the days I come across a low maintenance outfit that looks edgy and chic. This is definitely one of them.

Top: I’m wearing a white button-down dress shirt from Ann Taylor, here’s a similar one from American Eagle. It’s easy to iron and lightweight, so perfect for layering. I wore one of my favorite sweaters I bought from Amazon over it. It keeps me so warm and the sleeves are my favorite part about it. Here’s a similar one from Target, brown is out of stock but I’d definitely get the style in a neutral color available.

Bottoms: I’m wearing faux leather pants that I bought from Negin x Express collection. They’re really comfortable to rock and they look great to wear as pants in the winter or fall. It gives you a trendier look than your typical leather spandex.

Accessories: My minimalist watch is from Nordgreen. Use MARIAM15 for $ off. I got these adorable boho jewelry pieces from The Boho Boutique. Use MARIAMSHIBLY15 for $ off.

Shoes: I just got these babies from Nordstrom. They are so so edgy and comfortable I love them. They go on sale occasionally so keep an eye out if they’re not sold out already.

The Real Casual Outfit

Even with few occasions to dress up, you’ll still find me resorting to my casual bum wear. Dressing up doesn’t have to mean putting on a trendy outfit, it can be whatever you feel comfortable in. Dress up your face and hair, so you feel and look cute.

Top: I’m wearing an onesie bodysuit that I got from Amazon. It is incredibly helpful to layer with, and you can wear it with almost any top. I’ve been able to wear this bodysuit without buttoning it all the way during my changing body weight. I’ve paired it with a soft lounge cardigan from Nordstrom. I love this cardigan because it gives a more of a cleaned up, chic look. Here’s a similar one from ASOS. So you can be comfortable and look nice!

Bottoms: I purchased these on my loungewear haul prior to the pandemic from Nordstrom and they’ve been so handy ever since. They’re elastic waists so it flattens and disguises your mom's pouch nicely. It’s also very comfortable, and once again lets you look nice without looking like a bum in sweats.

Accessories: I got these velvet scrunchies off Amazon. They come in a huge pack and last me for a while since I tend to lose them. I’m also wearing my Arabic initial necklace from Nominal. Use MARIAMSHIBLY for $ off. I’m wearing the delicate evil eye necklace by She’s Unique.

Shoes: I’m wearing tan Nike sneakers I purchased over 6 years ago from Nordstrom. Here’s a Lacoste pair from ASOS I really like that will do the job just as well, if not better.

The Softest Lounge Set

Thanksgiving this year is one of a kind. Another unique event to add to the list of 2020 milestones. Unfortunately, we did not get to do our large family feast, even though we all tested, but you know just to be safe. I am thankful that we made the most of it. The spread was still delicious and I was definitely left in a food coma all night. I’m also thankful that we didn’t have to dress up too much and I got to stay comfy in my lounge set.

Lounge Set: Ok, I wanted to get my hands on Skim’s lounge sets, but I can never beat the crowd and it’s always sold out. I found something very similar from Boohoo for half the price and the quality is amazing. It’s soo comfortable and unbelievably warm. I wasn’t sure how a crop top would look, but with the high waisted pants it is definitely flattering for any body type especially my mamas. This was also my first purchase from Boohoo so I’m glad to see it turned out well.

Robe: Because I don’t feel comfortable walking around in my house with just a crop top and pants in the chilly months, I also got the robe. It completes the outfit and I recommend purchasing it too, especially since it’s at a great price from Boohoo.

The Lucia Sweater Set

I absolutely love Trader Joe’s for many reasons, but today’s reason is that it helped me transition to my meatless lifestyle. They’ve got the best frozen foods that are delicious and it inspires you to recreate them at home. Watch my first part of Trader Joe’s haul. The rest of the haul will be uploaded very soon!

Top: I’m wearing the Lucia set in the grey by The Savage Altruist. This sweater is sooo cozy and soft. Every mama’s dream. You can dress it up by bringing it right at the edge of your shoulders or stay cozy and rock it as a v neck. The tapered waist also makes it a very flattering look. Use MARIAM15 for $ off.

Bottoms: The Lucia set comes with a ribbed skirt with a slight slit. It’s very cute and you can easily rock each of these pieces separately, which I’m excited to show you guys down the line as well. So worth this set and the price is unbeatable for the quality. Use MARIAM15 for $ off.

Cozy Turtleneck Dress

The first time we went into lockdown, I had no idea what we were about to go through. I was definitely more motivated to be as prepared as possible. As the pandemic happened throughout the year, we became more relaxed and flexible with our structure. Now that we’re about to go on lockdown again, but this time with a long dark and chilly season, I’m panicking. It’s a struggle to feel at peace and I know I can’t continue like this. I appreciate all the support and self care suggestions so much that I saved them under my pandemic love highlights on Instagram. I will be trying all these and to include them into a routine so I don’t lose my sanity.

Top: I’m wearing a super comfortable sweater dress I got last season from Urban Outfitters. Here’s a similar one from ASOS. You can dress it up like I did or you can wear it casually.
Bottoms: I’m wearing tights by Calzedonia.

Jewelry: I’m wearing the repurposed Chanel earrings by Tinsley Allison Designs.

Shoes: I got these from Zara, which are no longer available but here’s a similar pair from Nordstrom.

Powder Blue Sweater Dress

We’re back on lockdown round two and making only the essential trips. This time though all this chilly weather and boredom just makes me want to eat everything in the house. Thank god for these one size fits all cute dresses.

Dress: I’m wearing the Pia in light blue from The Savage Altruist. It’s a sweater wrap dress that can easily be worn as a cardigan as well. Soft tones and pinched sleeves gives it a really classy look. I love the quality! It’s so soft and you can make it as fitted or loose as you like, which I completely appreciate as a postpartum mama. I could buy their whole fall collection, I love it! I’ve styled two of their pieces below in my reel and take advantage of my discount code, MARIAM15.

Autumn Whites

I’ve been waiting for this day to share with my online fam, I’ve quit meat. It’s the best decision I’ve made yet. In fact, the last I ate it was over a year ago and I didn’t even notice how long it’s been. I don’t miss it. Veggie life has been amazing for me and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Top: I got this oversized boyfriend blazer from Aritzia. It’s no longer available but here is something similar from ASOS. I layered it on top of a silk sleeve shirt from Zara. Here’s a similar one from ASOS.

Shoes: BCBG, but here is a similar pair from Nordstrom.

The Fall Neutrals: Brown, Black and White

I believe in every fall wardrobe neutral colors are an essential to have especially in your statement pieces. You can never go wrong with these colors, it’s just a matter of finding the right tone that best suits you.

A more sustainable way to change up your pieces is through accessories. It’s worth investing in timeless pieces that can easily change your look from day to night. Watch my reel below to see an example of how I change my day looks into night outfits.

Bottoms: I’m wearing paper bag waist jeans by Zara. Currently, these jeans are the comfiest to wear especially during postpartum and look flattering as well.
Bag: I got this cute bag in Nutella over the summer from JW PEI. I love the color for all seasons of the year!
Shoes: Nike. They’re an old pair and not available online, but here’s a trendy version of it that I love!

The Layered Sweater Vest

Okay, the only time I love layering is in the fall because it actually serves the purpose of keeping you warm without wearing a winter coat. Also, the cutest fall fashion involves layering!

Top: I’m wearing a sweater vest knit from Express, here’s a similar one from Amazon. I’ve actually folded it a little bit under to give it more of a cropped look. I paired it with a silk cotton collared top, the store is no longer available, but here is a similar one from Topshop or ASOS. Then to finish it off, I wore one of this cardigan I picked up at ISNA bazaar, here’s a similar one from ASOS. It’s an essential piece that I absolutely love to layer with.

Sweater Weather

Being pampered is the best feeling in the world. Being pampered as a mom though, always feels like you’ve escaped to heaven. Thanks to COVID-19 my monthly facial has almost turned into a yearly facial along with getting my hair touched up again. I can’t complain much though, thankful for our safety even if it’s being feeling like a balloon stuck at home.

Top: This sweater is from my first (and so far only) purchase from Shein. I normally have my go-to stores like but I was tempted to try out Shein and see what the hype was all about. Honestly I’m really surprised at how warm this sweater is! The one I’m wearing is sold out, but here’s a much cuter version from Shein (it’s the same just with cuter sleeves than mine). Perfect for sweater weather and to look casual cute! I wore a collared shirt underneath just to let it peak about a bit and dress it up.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my ripped jeans from Zara that I bought ages ago. I love their skinny fit jeans because of how snug they are, yet still very soft and comfortable.

Shoes: I bought these boots from Macy’s. Because I bought them over seven years ago, here’s a similar pair. It’s all about this grey that goes perfectly with fall tones.

Casual Fall Dress

Eating fruits every morning has made one of the most positive impacts on my health and appearance. I understand as working or full time parents, it may seem like a stretch for you, but I promise you it’s easier than it looks. Check out my post on what fruits you can eat this season in the morning and how they can benefit you. It really has improved my skin, hair, and overall energy. Now I have to have it every morning.

Top: I bought this gorgeous yellow dress from Target in August, which unfortunately is no longer available. The tone is what makes the dress beautiful and I’ve found even more gorgeous dresses you can pair with from ASOS. I paired it with a cozy long white cardigan from Amazon, which is key to have in your fall and spring wardrobe. Here’s another casual cardigan I like as well.

Bag: I love this cute little bag from JW PEI I just got this summer. I’m obsessed with the handle and the color tone, which is perfect for the whole year.

Shoes: I’m actually wearing it with my comfiest and new gym shoes, the Ultraboost 20s. I can do anything in these shoes and they’re even better because they go well with fashion outfits too!

Transitioning Summer Dresses into Fall

Fall is no doubt the best season of the year as well as the shortest. To make the most of my closet, I like to use the comfortable summer dresses that carry a glimpse of fall tones and add edgy layering to complete the fall look. Watch below to see how I do it.

Outfit 1: Yellow Dress & Cardigan

Top: I bought this gorgeous yellow dress from Target in August, which unfortunately is no longer available. The tone is what makes the dress beautiful and I’ve found even more gorgeous dresses you can pair with from ASOS. I paired it with a cozy long white cardigan from Amazon, which is key to have in your fall and spring wardrobe. Here’s another casual cardigan I like as well.

Shoes: I’m actually wearing it with my comfiest and new gym shoes, the Ultraboost 20s. I can do anything in these shoes and they’re even better because they go well with fashion outfits too!

Outfit 2: Floral Dress

Top: I bought this comfy floral dress from Target. It’s a flattering print for the warmer seasons of the year. I love the fact that it’s made with mesh material, which is perfect to wear alone or for a layered look. The best part is that its neck is made with elastic so it works easily as a nursing dress as well as a maternity dress with its elastic waist!

Bag: I got this bag from Mango last year.

Shoes: Aquazurra suede pumps, which currently the style is sold out. Here’s another style of theirs I really adore.

Outfit 3: Floral Dress & Leather Jacket

Top: As mentioned above, I got the floral dress from Target and for a warmer and edgier fall look, I paired it with a leather jacket that I’ve had for ages, here’s a similar one from Nordstrom.

Bag: Chanel

Shoes: I got these booties from Zara last year. Here’s a similar pair from Nordstrom.

Outfit 4: Yellow Dress & Blazer

Top: As I mentioned above, this stunning dress is sold out in Target but the tone is what makes it perfect for fall. Here are similar ones to purchase and I paired it with an oversized boyfriend blazer from Aritzia. I’ve had this blazer for a while, so here’s a similar one from ASOS.

Jewelry: I’m wearing this gorgeous 3 Brazilian stone ring from Bellina Caetano. Use LADYMARIAM for $ off. I’m also wearing the chunky rustic gold chain I got from Amazon.

The Fall Culottes

With COVID-19 limiting our indoor fun, the fall season in 2020 has become a MUST-DO outdoor activities in order to truly participate in the Fall experience, at least in the Midwest. Yes that means pumpkin farms and corn mazes, but 2020 has taken it to the next level to also include sunflower fields. Also, as requested the majority are interested in hearing postpartum recovery essentials, so stay tuned it’ll be coming in the next few months as I recover myself, and share what really worked for me.

Top: I’m wearing a plain short sleeve tee with elastic sleeves from Zara I bought a few years ago. In some shots, I’ve rolled them up and folded under my shoulders to give more of the padded shoulder tees that’s currently trending. I highly recommend doing it with any plain tee that has sleeves, you can even use a rubber band to hold it in place and it’ll look just as good. Don’t buy into the fast fashion (as I mentioned I bought this from Zara haha reuse what you already have!), when you can seriously do it yourself.

Bottoms: I’m wearing these super cute chiffon pleated culottes. I bought them in Spain last fall and I love the look that they give. They’re also very comfortable. Maroon is extremely trendy this season and can be easily paired with both dark and light colors to create the “fall” look. Here’s a similar pair in white or different colors from Shein. I’d prefer a purchase from a more sustainable brand like Asos however and these are available in satin pink.

Bag: The minimal baby bag from Kibou.

Jewelry: The rose bloom necklace from Nominal. Use MARIAMSHIBLY for $ off your purchase. The Rahma and Sabr gold cuffs from Zudo. Use MARIAM15 for $ off your purchase. Earrings are from She’s Unique. Use MARIAM20 for $ off your purchase.

The Anniversary Outfit

It’s been too long where I didn’t just get ready, but got to go all out and actually doll up. With COVID-19 and newborn, our anniversary finally happened 2 months later. It was hectic arranging the babysitting situation with lots of driving, but so worth it. We had the most bomb Japanese Omakase experience at Tanoshii. I highly recommend it and afterwards we ate the most heavy duty crepes at Iguana Cafe, an old favorite sweet spot.

Top: I got this gorgeous dress from Target! It’s super comfortable. I love the trapeze border and pleats, but most of all I love the tone. Unfortunately this dress is sold out, but here’s a gorgeous one from Asos, and another one from Nordstrom. In order to dress it up for more of a brighter seasonal look, I paired it with my favorite white oversized linen blazer. The one I purchased from Aritzia is sold out, but here’s a similar one from Asos.

Jewelry: I’m wearing my favorite 3 stone ring from Bellina Caetano. Use LADYMARIAM for $ off your order. I’m also wearing this chunky rustic gold chain from Amazon.
