As much as I enjoy traveling and being with my loved ones, I do get homesick rather quickly. The key is to keep yourself busy and stay distracted so that you’re making the most of your trip. Once I’m home however, I’m motivated to get back on track. I used to be lazy regarding unpacking, but the sooner you unpack the easier it is to be back in routine. What I look forward to the most is the cleanse. Hitting up the gym to rid as much of the vacation diet, cleaning the house, cooking for the next week or so, and even a haircut trim from all the sun damage and dehydration! Once I’ve accomplished all of this, I’m clean and back in my A game ready to plot my next move.
Top: I love layering with the classic black and white, it’s super easy. Like I said in my earlier posts, I can’t just leave it at black and white because it reminds me of a waitress at a restaurant way too much, so of course I added my pop color: the winter red. The collared white blouse is from Lord & Taylor that I found on sale almost a decade ago. The simplest way to layer is with a collared blouse— let that be your go-to.
Bottoms: The corduroy overalls I bought this past summer front Aritzia and I’m so happy to be able to rock them again in the winter! I love the fact that it carries a cinched waist, which flatters my figure even more. If you’re outfit is too baggy, you need something to keep it all together and your best bet is a waist belt.
Shoes: I’m wearing the pointy toe suede heels by Aquazurra.
