Chi Summer

It’s hard for me to leave Chicago in the summer. Chicago is the place to be in the summer and I’ve waited 80% of the year to experience this amazing scene that comes to life in the summer. Everyone’s out and lively, socializing more than ever. The weather’s hot enough during the day, why pay to go somewhere even hotter? My favorite is summer nights, the weather is so pleasant— it’s unbelievable. I love you summer Chi.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: Believe it or not, I got this soft lavender top from Uniqlo and it’s actually from their workout collection. I love how breathable and fitted the top is that I just had to wear it out as well. If you’re ever looking for a fitted and breezy top, this is your answer.

Bottoms: I grabbed these navy blue wide legged pants from Zara a few years ago. They are so comfortable and still look dressy, so what beats that. They’re a little high waisted, which is everyone’s favorite to cover that gut if you have any.

Shoes: I bought these navy blue Prada flats ages ago when I was fresh out of college. They’ve lasted about 6 years so the investment is worth it . They’re not in the best shape, but I’m partially to blame. I could’ve done a better job at keeping them in mint condition. I love Prada shoes if you haven’t noticed, they’re always so stylish and everlasting!

Watch: I’m wearing the one and only favorite Cluse rose gold watch that I always wear. I believe it’s my 2018 favorite!

Hat: I actually got this beautiful sun hat as a party favor. I love hats, especially when they’re doing a great job of keeping my face out of the sun. Whenever I’m about to do a long day in direct sunlight, you can expect me to have one of these by my side.

The Festive Look

I love going to concerts. In college I'd constantly be searching for the next concert to go to. Music creates and brings back memories, so why not re-live them? You'd be surprised at how great music sounds LIVE, because sometimes the artist just makes it ten times better for you in person. They're certain artists that are great performers and Kygo is definitely one of them. Shakira was also one of my favorites along with Coldplay. I have yet to see Kanye or Drake, but they're on my list. Linkin Park used to be on the list as well until the unfortunate event of the lead singer passing away. Morgan Page is another artist on my list. Who's on your list?

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I got these sheer blue metallic top off an ad I saw on Instagram for a free top by Folsom & Co. the top was free, but of course I had to pay $10 shipping. The top didn’t arrive until 3 months later and it came from China. As cute as this top is, the quality sucks. Everything would get caught on my shirt causing the stitching to snag. I’ll probably be able to get one more use out of this top before I toss it out. Regardless, this style is great for a festive or summer look. I’d recommend getting it in black if you don’t want to look too bold. The metallic sheer is just the right amount of pizazz you need to make your look trendy.

Bottoms: I’m wearing faux leather leggings that I ordered off Amazon ages ago for like $8. They come high-waisted which is perfect to go with crop tops. I decided to wear these along with the metallic top to truly complete the EDM look. With leather styled leggings, you can never wear a bold top unless it’s a special occasion. For on the daily, I would normally pair a very subtle and plain top (preferably on the greyscale color) with these leggings.

Shoes: I’m wearing my pointy toed lace tie-up flats that I got from Topshop about three years ago. They used to be super trendy, but not as much anymore. Honestly, I think they’re great to add a little bit of mischief to your outfit, which makes it perfect for my party outfit. I wouldn’t recommend wearing these in the summer because your feet can easily swell up like mine did. They’re perfect for fall or spring though!

Recycling the Silk

I talk about this all the time how it’s okay to wear your wardrobe more than once (and I really hope you do), especially when you change it up! I wanted to show you an example of how I recycled an outfit I wore recently and that you guys loved!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I love this cropped beige blazer from Akira. Unfortunately I got it years ago, but cropped blazers are back in style and perfect to wear over tanks and dresses. I found a really cute cropped blazer similar to mine at Artizia. This beautiful pink silk dress, yes it’s not a tank— it’s a dress by Aritzia that I recently bought! It got chilly in Philly, so I decided to convert this silk dress into a tank by shoving it as much as I could into my high waisted pants and it really worked out well.  I got the same look I was going for and I was able to change up the original look. I'm in love with this magenta silk dress so beware for another look coming soon!

Bottoms: I got these amazing new boyfriend style jeans by Levi’s from Aritzia recently as well. These jeans are how I changed up my outfit and was able to recycle the look. Of course I got the distressed style because they are my favorite. Get yourself a pair of boyfriend jeans because they’ll be this summer’s essential.  If you're worried about how to rock these jeans, since these are loosely fitted a cute, short and fitted top will go best with them.

The Blue Floral

I always get nervous when I ask for feedback because I’m always prepping myself for the worst. Alhamdullilah, you guys are so sweet you manage to blow me away everytime with your compliments and positivity. I love feeling like a million bucks and who doesn’t? I want everyone to feel that way and let’s aim to try to make a new person feel like that everyday. I promise it’ll make your heart flutter when you see the joy on their face.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Outfit: I bought this gorgeous blue floral top from Agha Noor in Pakistan on my recent trip. I love the sheerness and loose style of Agha Noor, which brings an effortless elegant look. I decided to wear a darker blue slip underneath to really bring out the light blue contrast. This is one of my favorite shades of lighter blue to rock, especially with olive tan skin you can’t go too light with the blues without it making you look washed out. If you haven’t gotten your hands on an Agha Noor top, you need to! All you need is their top, because they ALL go with your standard white pants whether it’s culottes or wide legged. Their line is extremely affordable and forever timeless.

Jewelry: I love these icy silver druzy earrings by Velvet Rose Jewelry. To be honest, I’m not sure if they’re still selling jewelry because I haven’t seen anything posted on their Instagram in a while, but feel free to reach out and mention MARIAMSHIBLY15 for 15% off your purchase.

Shoes: I bought the black suede ankle strap by Sam Edelman.

Purse: I bought this adorable silver glitter clutch from Sapphire in Pakistan. If you ever feel that your outfit isn’t glam enough, definitely accessories your earrings and purse can simply complete the outfit!

The Pretty Street Fit

I haven’t been to Philly for a while now and I’m so glad I visited again, because Philly seriously stepped up their game and this city is so underrated. Home to Chick Fil’a and the best convenient store hoagie sandwich by Wawa, Philly is now competing with LA on delicious new hipster spots. Please visit Cafe La Maude if you go to Philly, I guarantee you it will be the best brunch of your life. The owner is phenomenal, he’s so caring— goes above and beyond for your convenience and asides that, the food is so flavorful and light! I loved Philly, hopefully I’ll be back soon!

Top: I’m wearing the statement graphic tee by one of my favorite Muslim designers, 1434. I love how feminine they’ve made this tee look with the flowers popping out of the kufayya. To keep it cozy, I paired it with my blush pink ultra soft hoodie from Urban Outfitters. I see this style all the time come and go, so snag it when you get the chance!

Bottoms: These are my latest and favorite jeans made by Levi’s, which I bought at Aritzia. They’re the wedgie cut and I love their style of boyfriend jeans. Boyfriend jeans are making a huge comeback in different styles, so definitely grab your favorite cut because they’re an essential for this season!

Jewelry: I’m rocking one of Muslima Chic’s fabric choker. I love how colorful it is and it’s fun way to add a little spunk to your outfit.

Now the pants, these pants are one of my absolute favorite. The color is absolutely ravishing and really makes the outfit stand out. The Extravagant Mint - Erum Godil Sponsored

As time goes on and we all go through life events, and change for the better. The best is when you’re reunited with everyone after so long, it’s nice to catch up on all the changes. I still feel like I’m 18 when I do see my family friends though, which is a great feeling. I just can’t believe in reality how much has actually happened (career achievements, marriage, moving away, having kids etc.) and I cherish the past, but totally looking forward to creating new memories with the same community I grew up with from a whole new perspective, as parents. Cheers!

Outfit: This beautiful mint green Pakistani is suit is by one of the most fashionable designers in Chicago, Erum Godil. The embellishments are elegantly pieced together to create this perfect formal look for this upcoming spring and summer occasions. I love the peplum gharara pants, they bring a beautiful mermaid-like silhouette to your figure. I was also impressed with the quality of the stitching, it’s highly durable. Not only is the fabric of premium quality, but it is comfortable and you’re so mobile! I truly enjoyed working with Erum because of her professionalism and kindness. She's generous to offer a 20% discount when you mention MARIAMSHIBLY.

Urban Vibes

I absolutely love meeting talented individuals and seriously wonder to myself why couldn't we have this welcoming environment when I was in college? It seriously disappoints me, but whatever the past is in the past. I’m proud of this new gen for being such open minded and friendly individuals. I hope it’s not just a fad and sticks around for my kids to experience because this attitude inhabits everyone to blossom.

Top: I got this crew neck crop top from Zara a couple years back. I actually got it in this baby blue color and white. These tops have come in so clutch I can’t express it enough. Just because modest wear doesn’t exactly encourage you to wear up front crop tops, doesn’t mean you can’t wear them with a pair of high waisted or even better under overalls and jumpsuits! Wear them as you like. It’s your style that entails modesty.

Bottoms: I just purchased these comfortable overalls from Aritzia last week. I love how they’re not your typical overalls with rigid denim and a standard hick look. It’s the urban version of overalls and I love it so much more, plus I legit love how durable and comfy they are!

Shoes: I’m rocking my classic pair of white Converses.

Jewelry: I’m wearing my favorite Cluse watch from their Negin collaboration and I just bought this Alhamdullilah gold clutch from Crscnt Moon

The Silk Trend

I love silk! There is not enough silk attire that you can wear out. Actually, when I first tried this dress on my husband asked if I was sure this wasn’t a nightie. Either way, silk is definitely in style and I heard silk pajamas may even be trending. Where has this fad been all my life?! I’m ready for it!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I got this beautiful magenta dress from Aritzia this past week! I fell in love with the color and the fitting. Of course Chicago has crappy spring weather, but I cannot wait to wear this in the dead heat of summer. I paired this dress with a cropped blazer from Akira that I bought a few years ago. I know Aritzia currently has a similar blazer as well just in case Akira doesn’t.

Shoes: I’m wearing my favorite Aquazurra black suede lace up heels. I’ll always wear these babies with dresses just so that I can show off the laces, which is my favorite part!

Jewelry: I’m wearing the signature name necklace by Nominal. I love how versatile these beautiful gold necklaces are! Use MARIAM15 for 15% off your purchase.

The Comfortable Plaid

I’m not sure about you, but for me external factors can really impact my mood. For example if I’m wearing a face full of makeup or something uncomfortable, you bet I’ll be a little off until I take it off. I’ve found a trick to help me be at ease and it literally is all mentality. I pretend I’m in sweats and I'm super comfortable. It truly helps me and gets me in a better mood, where I can just be me and carefree. This is actually a trick I use when I’m posing in this painful zero degree weather in Chicago. So do what you need to, to be comfortable with yourself :)

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I found this cute plaid top at Target. It is extremely comfortable and the material is so soft, which is the main reason why I picked it up. Target’s style has drastically improved in these last recent years and I’ve been finding some really great stuff at a reasonable price just like this shirt. The Super Targets definitely have the best collections in store.

Bottoms: I’m wearing my favorite pair of ripped jeans by Forever 21. I bought these ages ago and over the years the rips have become larger and larger. Luckily, ripped jeans are forever trending so these will remain my favorite. They’re not the comfiest to wear, but they definitely kept me cool in New Zealand’s summer heat.

Shoes: I got these high top Converses a while ago. They’re awesome to wear for long walks or strolling through for a casual look. I love Converses, I just wished that the sole padding wouldn’t get worn out so easily.

The Sultani - SDK x The Nacre Sponsored

In the mom world we have good and bad days. I’m so grateful for the plentiful good days, but I do have to admit the bad days haunt me. I can’t help, but feel judged if my toddler acts like a toddler and that’s the part that haunts me. Does it really have to be embarrassing when a toddler cries? Why do we have this guilt? I’m reminded that most individuals understand kids are kids, but there’s always those few that live in a bubble and surprisingly those few are other moms. We already live in a tough world, before you judge, please save the trouble and remember you have no idea what struggle the other person is going through. PS: when has anyone ever appreciated a dirty look? Keep it to yourself, no one cares.

Top: This gorgeous custom blazer is by SDK. I love the golden embellishments blossoming all over the blazer. Unlike most pieces with this amount of hand work, it looks amazing to pair this blazer with other embellished pieces. The hand work is seriously beautiful on the black silk fabric. Because of the embellishments, this would not be your most comfortable blazer. It should be reserved for kid free occasions and where you can stay very poised. I love the look, it’s so unique. SDK is offering discount of  15% off your purchase if you mention MARIAMSHIBLY.

Bottoms: These are my favorite pants ever! I looooveee wide pants, but these pants have the most beautiful harem cut to be seen. Asides from the fact that they’re uber comfortable, they’re extremely versatile and can be worn with anything. I loved pairing it with the statement blazer to bring in a sort of Aladdin look, of course the Jasmine version. They’ll go with any cute Pakistani short tops as well, crop tops are even better. SDK will be offering these in a variety of color for the summer collection, receive 15% off your purchase if you mention MARIAMSHIBLY.

Jewelry: I’m obsessed with The Nacre’s petite classic jewelry. It looks perfect on fusion wear of Eastern and Western clothing. Petite jewelry itself brings a whole another level of classiness to your look. The golden pearl choker is extremely beautiful, I love it. These pearl aqua blue earrings are so trendy and are meant to be worn with fusion wear. I’d actually recommend wearing this with more embellished Western wear rather than Eastern clothing because of the simplicity needed in the outfit. Hira is so sweet and generously offered a discount code for you on her jewelry, use MARIAMSHIBLY for 15% off!

The Reversible Spring Dress - SDK x The Nacre Sponsored

It’s been officially a year since I started my Instagram account and basically this new venture as an influencer! I’m so thankful for the new levels of blogging it has taken me to in this short amount of time and I look forward to bringing more to you guys! I’ve really enjoyed working in this fashion industry with various brands thus far. I’ve learned a lot from experiencing a diverse group of designers. A designer’s character says a lot about their brand, whether it’s how much time and energy they put into their designs, to how they are as a professional. What I look forward to in my projects, besides showcasing the pieces, is getting to know the mastermind behind the art. I’m thankful to have the pleasure of working with such sweet designers and you’ll definitely know how I feel about them the way I rave and if I rave about them in my blogpost.

Dress: This beautiful pleated spring dress is by SDK. The print is so cute and the pleats bring a classy cute look. This dress has a remarkable feature where it’s reversible. You can wear the gold tone mesh either in the back or the front depending on what look you’re going for and it also comes with a waist belt if you like it more fitted. One of my favorite parts about the dress is the fabric. It’s super soft and high quality. This is definitely one of my favorite pieces from SDK’s new spring collection and definitely mention MARIAMSHIBLY to get 15% off your order!

Jewelry: These adorable golden kundun earrings and ring is by the one and only The Nacre. I love how trendy these modern drop kundun earrings are that you can wear them with Western clothes as well. Blush Pink Lace

Everyone comes to a point where they hit a plateau. I have a love-hate relationship when this happens, because it’s so boring to be stuck in a place where you can’t find new ways to change it up, but once you do— you’re better than ever. What do you guys do to help you come up with new ideas? I usually take a break from what I’m trying to improve on and focus on other aspects of my life more. Sooner or later something will come to mind, but now I’m considering to find a spiritual routine to help me find an idea sooner. Leave a comment if you have any helpful tips!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I got this blush pink lace top from WOV in Pakistan. They’re located in Dolmen Mall on the first floor. I love that they stick with the mainstream trends, but create an elegant look to all their pieces. I know in pictures my outfit looks more like lilac, but in person it’s actually a soft blush pink, which initially attracted me to the outfit.

Bottoms: I’m wearing Sapphire white crop pants that come in handy for any casual or semi formal outfit.

Jewelry: I snagged these silver beauties from a bazaar in Pakistan and my silver bracelet is an old purchase from Juicy Couture.

We need a voice for our consumers and I want to be that voice.

Top: This nude satin top is by SDK. I was a little worried about the nude color, but this brings out the best tones for South Asian girls. I love the endearing pearl bugs stitched on, it's so cute. The feathers are an extremely unique touch that most designers stay away from, but SDK has managed to bring a pop of color with them! You can receive 15% off your order if you mention MARIAMSHIBLY

Bottoms: These are my favorite pair of trouser pants that are soon coming to SDK's summer collection. They are so comfortable and they have the perfect Arabian cut. I am definitely planning on grabbing a pair to wear with both my Pakistani and Western outfits. The discount code works for all of SDK purchases, so use MARIAMSHIBLY for 15% off your order!

The Perfect Fit - Raha Design House x The Nacre Sponsored

I love putting in all my effort for a noble cause. Nothing feels more rewarding than seeing your vision come alive to help raise funds for the unfortunate. I was debating whether or not to have another Fashion Show Fundraiser this year, but I realized I definitely have an itch to do some sort of a fashion event for charity. My mind’s already brewing, I’ll keep you guys posted on the finalizations.

Dress: This elegant silk print dress is by Raha Design House. In my experience with modest dresses, it’s difficult to find one with a very flattering and modest cut. Raha Design House has achieved that balance most elegantly. You can expect the sleeves and the top to be more fitted with the rest of the gown bellowing beneath. This beautiful gown will make you look so graceful. I really didn’t want to take this piece off, I enjoying walking around gracing everyone with my presence (haha just kidding) but honestly, I did enjoy wearing it. Use MARIAMSHIBLY for 10% off your purchase until the end of April.

Jewelry: The gold plated white stone set of earrings and necklace is by The Nacre. The Peshawari Twist

The tough part about fashion blogging is getting as many uses as you can out of your outfits and simultaneously posting them online. Before blogging I never really posted a picture of my outfits until I was done re-wearing them. Since I did a ton of shopping in Pakistan, I feel slightly more comfortable posting looks when I first wear the outfit. I really enjoy recycling my clothes by pairing them differently each time. So you may see this outfit again or you may not and there’s nothing wrong with that. Clothes are meant to be worn multiple times, including desi clothes. Keep the pieces you love and wear them as much as you like

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I bought this Peshawari kurti from a small bazaar in Pakistan. I love rocking the traditional look because I strongly believe it brings out the true beauty in South Asian women. In order to bring out the traditional look, I paired the kurti with wide pants and a dupatta. I’ve posted this Peshawari kurti before, I wore it as a a dress and paired it with booties— you can check out the look here.

Bottoms: I did a bunch of trouser shopping in Pakistan since they now sell pants separately and snagged a pair of wide pants in white and black. Wide pants are perfect for this look and of course so comfortable to wear. I also got these pants from the same bazaar in Karachi.

Jewelry: I’m wearing my signature Nominal name necklace in Arabic. I love this necklace and it looked really cute with this outfit. Use code MARIAM15 at checkout for 15% off your purchase!

Shoes: The black ankle strap heels are from Sam Edelman.

Statement Sweaters - 1434 Sponsored

When can we rock legendary individuals? Now more than ever. The trend is reverting back to the streets and who you have on says a lot about you and the individuals you choose to portray. With history replaying itself in the Trump world, statement pieces are a must. Speak your mind, this is your world

Top: I love this statement crewneck of Ali x Malcom X by 1434. These two individuals play monumental roles in history that unite diversity for the love of passion. I personally enjoy boxing as a sport so to witness one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mohammad Ali is truly a blessing. You can wear this sweater as casual wear or dress it up with Boyfriend jeans, distressed jeans, even add on top of a skirt. The trend is truly diverse and at its best right now so take advantage and be different.

Jeans: I’m wearing my go to distressed high waisted jeans by Forever21. I love the features of this Jean except for the fact that Forever21 doesn’t have that flattering quality and structure that higher end jeans have. So that’s something to keep in mind.

Shoes: I’m wearing my favorite kicks ever, grey suede sneakers by Prada. They’re great quality and long lasting.

Spring Professional

It's tough to keep up with life these days. We tend to overexert ourselves and think we can do it all. We probably can do it all, but is it physically and mentally healthy? Sometimes, you just need to let go a little so that you can enjoy this time that's flying by. Soak in the moment and then resume your day. Trust me, those five minutes will help you be at peace.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Top: I love the layered look especially in the fall, but what better time to embrace it then now in this chilly spring weather! The trick to layering is making sure the colors are within the same palette. If you’re trying to go for a bolder look always have the first layer worn be the boldest color. So for example, instead of my white collared shirt you could replace it with a Fuchsia top or Mustard yellow and essentially achieve a more statement look. My collared white shirt is from Ann Taylor. They have amazing sales all the time for high quality pieces! I actually used to work right above one when I worked at Northern Trust, so on my lunch break I’d always head downstairs for some shopping. It quickly turned into a bad and expensive habit. My knit black sweater vest is from Zara and I use it to tie all the layers together. Without my favorite duster, I look like a interview candidate with my standard black and white professional wear. So many of you have asked where I've gotten this duster from and I wish the brand name stuck their name on it! It's nameless and I got it from a Turkish stall from ISNA this past year. I'll stalk them this year so I can finally put a name on it.

Bottoms: I just snagged these brown suede pants from Zara from their latest sale. I love them, the texture brings a diverse look to your outfit. Especially in neutral professional wear, it's really easy to look boring so I love jazzing it up with a different texture.

Watch: At the moment this is my favorite watch, it's the Negin x Cluse rose gold watch. This watch is perfect for the rose gold trend, unfortunately it was really hard to even get this watch considering it's always sold out. Fortunately, Cluse has a beautiful rose gold collection!

Shoes: These are the classic black ankle strap heels from Sam Edelman.

The Evergreen Spring Collection - Lena Boutique Sponsored

I love it when you meet with people and they're real on the first date. Yeah I'm not talking about dating, I'm referring to just hanging out or in the mom world, playdates. It's so easy to portray this as a perfect world in our social media bubble, but the moment we actually be real and speak out with our struggles, we connect. We realize we're not alone and how much more comforting can that be? It's so relieving when the burden feels a lot less. The best part is sure you've shared your struggle, but now you can exchange support, a couple laughs, and most important of all, solutions for each other.

Photography by Abdur Rahim

Top: This bright Emerald green velvet top is by Lena Boutique. It has a beautiful straight wide cut and the neck is one of my favorites, a boat neck. Along with the neck, the sleeves are lined with hand stitched elaborate embroidery with a little glimpse of hot pink. The material is perfect for Spring to stay a little warm when you step out and ideal for winter to bring in a little color.  Mention MARIAMSHIBLY for $$ off ($15 off $150, $25 off $250, $35 off $350 until end of March). I personally know Saba from Lena Boutique and she is a hardworking mother of two young-ins, and she does her best to coordinate overseas the most quality and premium work possible for her clients. She truly strives to bring her client's vision alive and that's what I love most about her. You won't be disappointed, especially with the new Eternal Allure Spring collection, she has created the most intricate and delicate pieces for the season.

Bottoms: These wide legged beige trousers by Lena Boutique are amazing! I am a huge fan of wide legged pants, not only are they comfortable, but because they will always look chic. These pants have the perfect boot-cut to mix and match with any tunic that has a hint of gold or silver work in it. They'll also keep you nice and warm in Spring!

The Perfect Kaftan - Yara Yosif

My favorite pieces are the ones that you put on and effortlessly make you look flawless. Which brands do that for you? I can vouch that Yara Yosif does.

Kaftan: This beautiful coral orange and aqua piece is designed by the sweet Yara Yosif. I personally own three of her kaftans because I'm obsessed with how stunning they are. The work on the pieces itself are gorgeous and shine through any crowd, the silk slip underneath feels luxurious, but my favorite part about it all is how flattering your body silhouette looks. Ladies, kaftans are gorgeous for Henna or Mehandi functions or to any colorful dressy event. If you're looking for THE kaftan, Yara Yosif is so worth it. You won't be disappointed. I truly love her pieces so much that she generously offered a discount for you guys! Be sure to use MARIAMSHIBLY as a discount code in checkout for 10% off your purchase!

Jewelry: I am wearing the classic silver druzy pearl studs by Rouge by Rooj Amir. I love her pieces and unlike many jewelry brands, I have never experienced any issues with the quality. These pearl studs are the perfect addition of glam to any outfit. I love rocking them! Don't forget to mention MARIAMSHIBLY for 10% off your purchase.

The Street Fit - 1434 Sponsored

Less is always more and that's always been my motto growing up. Simplicity is underrated and a few pieces go very far. I love keeping timeless and minimal pieces in my closet, you'd be surprised how often I bust them out with different trends over the years. Who said in order to be stylish you have to consistently shop? If you haven't noticed, styles are consistently repeating themselves. Just hold onto the good ones and donate the rest

Top: This Bollywood crew neck by 1434 is the latest fit on the streets. It's just enough to bring that street style to you without looking extra baggy. The best part about this crewneck is the culture that cultivates it. In the South Asian community, this scene is an absolute classic in Bollywood. You can dress up the crewneck with a pair of washed out jeans and a bomber jacket or keep it super comfy and rock it with a pair of leggings. The owners of 1434 have taken their time and energy to make sure you are utmost comfort-ability by finding the softest fabric for you! They literally flew across the world for this. It's so cozy, I wish I could sleep in it.

Bottom: I’m wearing my staple high waisted jeans from Forever21.

Peacoat: This peacoat isn’t mine, but since you guys inquired about it. You can find it in the Men’s section at Zara.

Shoes: These are my favorite pair of kicks of all time, my grey suede Prada’s. They are everlasting (thank the lord) and I can always count on them to my make outfit comfy and hip.

Eternal Allure - Lena Boutique Sponsored

You know what’s essential to looking good? Confidence. We all have our insecurities and doubts, but it’s important that you are happy. You know your flaws and you own them. You are constantly striving to improve yourself and those achievements increase confidence. None of us are perfect and that’s what makes us unique. Be confident, be you

Top: I love this plum tunic by Lena Boutique. This top is timeless because of its beautiful gold work on the front, sleeves and it’s so elegant on the back! It has the cutest flowy cut so that it can easily go on top of a lengha or on any type of pants— cigarette or wide legged. Speaking of the embellishment, this is quality handwork. I’m seriously tired of wearing outfits of where the work gets constantly stuck to my sleeve and some of it easily comes off. This hand crafted stitching does not let you down, it stays on strong and this piece will last you forever! Mention MARIAMSHIBLY for $$ off ($15 off $150, $25 off $250, $35 off $350 until end of March).

Skirt: I can officially say this is my favorite lengha of all time and it’s designed by Lena Boutique. Can you see how many pearls are embellished on this gold and silver metallic tone skirt? I looooveeee it. I felt like a princess walking around in a skirt layered with pearls. It’s so beautiful and the pearls are stitched on so well, I didn’t see a single pearl fall off! This is the kind of quality I expect my money to pay for. The best part about this is the tone of the lengha, it can be paired with any top. If you’re trying to do a more simple look pair you can wear the lengha with a shorter kurta, if you’re trying to dress it up more for a family wedding — wear it with an embellished tunic, and if you’d like to wear this on your own wedding it’s perfect, pair it with the same quality and tonal pearl dupatta by Lena Boutique! I love this pearl scarf, it instantly makes you look like royalty and this can be purchased separately as well! Pair it with any outfit and your outfit is automatically ready for a fancy occasion. Mixing and matching is the best part when it comes to originality.

Teal Ruffles

Wedding season is slowly starting up for this year and quite early too! I’m hoping that also means spring is around the corner. As much as I love wedding season, it’s definitely exhausting. How many of you prefer to keep the function traditional by hosting three events or do you prefer to keep it short and sweet by combining as many as events possible?  I am definitely for the latter and tried to combine as many events possible for my wedding.

Top: I love this emerald top from Sapphire Pakistan with the most beautiful ruffles I’ve ever owned! I love how each layer of ruffle is delicately placed and looks amazing at every angle. I’m obsessed with this fabric as well. It’s so chic and glam.

Bottom: I got these white fringe culottes from Sapphire in Pakistan and I’ve already worn them a handful times. They make any top look super trendy and I always enjoy pairing these with a fun top.

Purse: I love this adorable silver sequined crossbody bag from Pakistan. I really bought it because it's so cute, but it's a great way to add a little sparkle into your outfit.

Shoes: These are one of my favorite pairs, it’s Carolyne High-Heel Paint-Splatter Cork Halter Pump  by Manolo Blahnik. They’re not the most comfortable, but they make any outfit look fantastic and playful.
